Continuing Education

Every three years, Journeymen must complete 32 hours of continuing education units (CEUs) for the renewal of their state-certified electrician license.

In partnership with BlueVolt CE University, California electricians may keep their state license up to date with coursework that includes 2017 and 2020 National Electrical Code (NEC) changes.

Depending on your needs, there are options for two-hour courses, 4 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours, 16 hours, and a 32-hour course bundle which provides you with the greatest savings.

You may prepay for the code-related and industry-related CEU coursework to receive a discount. Or you may choose to pay only once you have successfully completed the course(s).

As well, each BlueVolt CE University course rewards you with their BlueBucks (or BluePoints) incentive program. Every completed course earns you points of a dollar-equivalent value which you can then apply toward your additional or future coursework.

You may now study at your own pace and on your own schedule with these online DPR-approved courses, in meeting the State of California requirements for electrical license renewal.

NOTE: When selecting CEUs, please be sure that REJATC is listed in the course titles. This will ensure that your certificate of completion, through BlueVolt CE University, references our training center.
